Los Angeles 72 mile coastline has almost year-round sunshine in California. Santa Monica has 2 miles of golden sands, some of the best dining in the city and Santa Monica Pier for guaranteed entertainment. Hire a bike or wander along the boardwalk to Venice Beach with the infamous outdoor gym, Muscle Beach. Further along the coast to the south is Long Beach, with a lively harbour and waterfront entertainment as well as affluent cities Newport Beach and Huntington Beach.
LA is a real foodie haven with restaurants, cafés, bistros, bakeries, ethnic markets, coffee houses, gastro-pubs and street food carts. Chinatown or West Hollywood's swanky restaurants provide all the cuisine you could want and a glimpse at a famous face or two. Classic cuisine is ideal at Pink's Hot Dogs, Foster's Freeze and Canter's Deli that has been around since the 30s. The history and heritage of the property is evident as soon as you walk through the doors and discover the tropical gardens for unexpected tranquility and privacy from a city hotel.
