Washington D.C

Holiday in Washington DC

The heart of this USA city lies downtown with the main theatre district, museums, fine dining, The White House, the Kennedy Centre, West Potomac Park, the beautiful Tidal Basin and National Park there really is something that caters to everyone here. As does the cuisine where there is everything on offer from Ethiopian in Adam Morgan’s neighbourhood or Indian in downtown D.C. as well as being able to find Asian, Mexican and all-American cuisine pretty much anywhere. North Central is perhaps the trendiest neighbourhood with plenty of clubs, shops, restaurants and is home to Howard University. The west of the city is upmarket where you can discover historic Georgetown, the National Zoo and some of the city’s most high-end shopping boutiques.

Perhaps the most iconic and recognisable area is The National Mall. Here you can find The White House, US Capitol Building and many memorials, museums and galleries to be found in picturesque parkland. The rooftop terrace of The Kennedy Centre in the West End provides spectacular views of the city’s skyline and the Washington National Cathedral is definitely worth a visit to admire the architecture and stroll the grounds.

Inside, the impressive lobby features ornate marble floors, lots of American Walnut, plus vibrant Asian art and furniture, whilst the bathrooms are truly decadent with huge, deep bathtubs and separate walk-in shower. Spread over 10,500 feet, the spa has stunning facilities like an amethyst steam room, vitality pool, Zen relaxation area and ice fountain, plus a 50-foot swimming pool.
