Holiday in Kauai
Kauai or the 'Garden Isle' is the oldest of Hawaii's main islands and has been shaped by millions of years of erosion to create dramatic scenery and miles of beautiful sandy beaches. Most of the island has good road accessibility but the Nā Pali Coast remains gloriously untouched. This lush landscape has also provided the backdrop for Jurassic Park and Raiders of the Lost Arc films.
The challenging 11-mile Kalalau hiking trail is the only way to experience the Nā Pali Coastline whilst overlooking five valleys and the beaches of Ke'e and Kalalau with equally impressive views either by land or air. Take a cruise along the coast for dolphin and whale spotting.
The Waimea Canyon, known as the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific', was created by an earthquake that almost split the island in two and continuously eroded by the Waimea River. The canyon itself is approximately 10 miles long, 1 mile wide and over 3,000ft deep with the best views available from the Waimea Canyon Overlook. Many of the USA white-sand beaches remain uncrowded and provide a surfers paradise or go mountain tubing down Lihue's water flumes or take to the zip-lines above the rainforest. Championship golf courses are aplenty or unwind with a Lomi Lomi massage in the spa.Book now
