Holidays in Brazil
Known for natural landscapes, rainforests and breathtaking Rio de Janeiro, this country offers mesmerising views, a taste of beach life and carnivals. Kick your feet up on one of South America’s most famous beaches, Copacabana or party the night away Brazilian style.
Brazil has a 4 hour time difference behind the UK and a 12 hour flight time approx.
Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your date of entry to Brazil. As long as you comply with immigration laws you will not need a visa such as showing you have enough money for your stay, accommodation details and proof of a return flight. Make sure your passport is stamped and you keep your immigration landing card for when you leave.
Why Visit Brazil
Rio, Brazil’s thrumming capital, must be one of the most alluring cities on the water banked by impressive white sanded shores including the infamous Copacabana beach which still retains its breathtaking qualities despite its immense popularity. All of this excess is overseen by an iconic landmark, the 38 metre high statue of Christ the Redeemer. The ultimate symbol of the nation, it draws a following from across the globe into its welcoming open arms. The dramatic expansion of Iguaçu Falls lies on the border of Brazil and Argentina. Said in lore to have been created by a jealous god it is second only to Victoria Falls in Africa for its sheer size and copious cascading waters. Casting rainbows and with evocative features such as the Devil’s Throat, it has to be on the nature buff’s hit list of wonders.
In complete contrast, the city of Sao Paulo is defined by its urban innovation and is classified as one of the world’s most astonishing cities. Frenetic and populous there remain a few hidden corners of colonial splendour to be marvelled at and the desire for luxurious living remains undiminished.
