Why Visit Spain

Madrid is the ultimate culture-rich city break, big on art galleries and architecture, historical mansions and magnificent old churches, centuries-old taverns but also generous green spaces, designer shopping and glamorous restaurants. It has an infectious ambience all of its own too with classy cocktail and chic Cava bars, which set the tone and social scene for this alluring capital.
Seville is beautifully compact, rich in history and justifiably famous for its flamboyant flamenco, delectable tapas bars and sweet scented orange trees. The ancient cobbled streets of the Santa Cruz quarter are home to the breathtaking Alcazar Palace and vast Gothic cathedral, plus the views are serene from the banks and terraces of the Guadalquivir river and the towering Parasol Metropol.
Tenerife’s well-informed aim for the more upmarket Costa Adeje resorts with their chic boutiques and manicured sands, while traditional El Medano boasts the best natural beaches. Playa San Juan and the fishing village of Alcala offer a more authentic flavour coupled with luxury developments, plus for bizarre lunar landscapes and panoramic views of the island head up volcanic Mount Teide.
Ibiza might be the party capital of Europe, but it’s also a treasure trove of hidden golden coves, crystal clear waters and striking natural scenery. The Old Town is home to the incredible walled fortress of Dalt Villa, plus harbour/marina chic and international celebrity spotting, while charming and laid-back Santa Eulalia offers impressive art galleries and some of the island’s finest restaurants.
