A sparkling gem in the Adriatic Sea surrounded by unspoilt islands, it boasts 120 miles of shimmering coast with desirable destinations such as Split, Dubrovnik, Hvar and Rovinj - and time to linger on shingle or pebble beaches of great character amid dramatic backdrops and glistening waters.

Why Visit Croatia

Rovinj is an entrancing fishing port city featuring a stunning replica of Venice’s St Mark’s Campanile and sits on a panoramic peninsula in the Adriatic. Drink in the atmosphere of this pretty town and watch the local fisherman cast their nets for the morning catch.
The poet Byron called Dubrovnik the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’ with its shining marble streets reflecting the sunlight where you can walk free of traffic and be enthralled by the Renaissance splendour of the Sponza Palace.
Travel further back in time in the Dalmatian city of Split within the stately ruins of the 4th Century Diocletian’s Palace and the Cathedral of St. Dominus. Explore the cobbled back streets of the Old Town and even spot scenes where Game of Thrones was filmed.
Glitzy Hvar Island is dubbed the St. Tropez of the Adriatic. With a charming medieval centre, fragrant lavender fields and vineyards to wander, this is the starting point to head out and discover the hidden beaches and deserted lagoons of the Pakleni islets.
One of Croatia’s most astonishing sights is the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Plitvice Lakes National Park where dramatic tufa formations arise from emerald waters; you can spend the whole day enveloped in nature wending your way around this watery wonderland.
